企画趣旨 / Event aims

社会の急激な変化の中で、子ども時代も「加速化」しているように思われます。アリソン・クラーク氏は、乳幼児期の「時間」を問い直し、加速化の流れに対抗する「スロー・ペダゴジー（slow pedagogy）」「スロー・ナレッジ(slow knowledge)」の価値を主張しています。

本シンポジウムでは、最近のご著書である ” Slow knowledge and the unhurried child: time for slow pedagogies in early childhood education”に基づいてスロー・ペダゴジーについてご講演いただきます。急がない子ども、急がない大人を可能にする実践とはどのようなものかについて考えます。

In the fast-changing society, childhood seems to be “accelerating” as well. Prof. Alison Clark has been questioning the “time” of early childhood and advocating the value of “slow pedagogy” and “slow knowledge” to challenge the trend of acceleration.

In this symposium, she will talk about slow pedagogy based on her recent book, “Slow knowledge and the unhurried child: time for slow pedagogies in early childhood education”. We will consider what practices enable “unhurried children” and “unhurried adults”.
