The research for the potential of digital media in early childhood education and care : For creative educational environment（Joint research with POPIN INC.）

In collaboration with popIn, Inc., we are conducting a study on the possibilities of using digital media in early childhood education and care (ECEC).
We are researching what conditions are necessary for children, who are familiar with the digital world from birth, to use digital media not only for consumption but also as a tool to nurture their own creativity.

In the course of our research with preschool teachers on the possibilities of using digital media as a tool to expand the potential of children's development, children, preschool teachers, and our research team have found it interesting and appealing. We would like to describe and clarify the conditions for wise use and the meaning of the rich world of children that emerges from such use.

We are already seeing the emergence of such digital atelier initiatives around the world. From our country, too, we would like to show the possibilities of a digital tool environment that uses the qualities of Japan's nature and play.
