ECEC-Outdoor and Play
We are conducting a research project on outdoor environment of early childhood education and care (ECEC) facilities, such as playgrounds and the local environment near the facilities. Also, we are implementing research on children's views of play. With the cooperation of ECEC facilities across Japan, we are developing mechanisms and tools to improve the quality of outdoor environment, including surveys, research, leaflet creation, and professional development. In addition, while receiving feedback from ECEC facilities, we aim to create a research project that works with them.
